Distance Education Disclosure

It’s important to realize that AC/C TECH provides online training. Our "Learning Resource Center" is web-based and designed to take the guess work out of maintaining an apartment community and repairing equipment; however small, large, or unique. It contains four key modules:

     [1]  Web-Based Classroom
     [2]  Online Technical Support
     [3]  Virtual Coffee House, and
     [4]  Q & A Bulletin Board

[1] The web-based classroom contains interactive courses and workshops.  All courses are highly technical and include attention grabbing graphics, photos, videos, and sound effects that will simplify complex topics. The courses include knock-em-dead special effects and transitions.  All courses are voice narrated, so students can focus on the topic, learn, and develop specific skills.  GUARANTEED!  After completing a course, the student will be able to recognize the components and understand how the equipment functions in sequence of operation.  But more importantly, emphasis is placed on diagnosing failures and making repairs.  Student will learn “WHAT” can fail, “WHY” it failed, and “HOW” the failure can be prevented. Understanding these principles (WHAT, WHY and HOW) will allow our student to diagnose and repair more complex problems, reduce maintenance expenditures, and develop professionalism.

The Web Based Classroom also contains employer administrative tools; e.g.: a designated administrator can manage user accounts, assign courses and/or workshops, create assignment rules, run reports, etc.  Basically, that individual can manage every aspect of employee development.

[2] The Online Technical Support is an automated database that will guide an individual through a variety of diagnosing and repair procedures. It includes step-by-step repair tips for appliances, electrical wiring, heating and air conditioning equipment, interior/exterior building maintenance, outdoor accessories and grounds, plumbing, and swimming pool maintenance. It’s also loaded with energy saving tips, planned maintenance activities, information about indoor air quality, lead-based paint, mold, radon, etc.

[3] The Virtual Coffee House features articles related to building and equipment maintenance. It also features articles that cover laws affecting the industry, advancements in technology, outstanding achievers, employment opportunities, and more. This module is available to students - FREE OF CHARGE - without expiration. Just create an account to start learning.

[4] The Q&A Bulletin Board contains questions and answers about building and equipment maintenance.  Students can read questions posted by peers, or they can post new questions and get answers from multiple experts.  This module is also available to students - FREE OF CHARGE - without expiration.

Each student is assigned a private username and password which allows access to this resource anytime and from any location.  Also, each student is assigned a unique email address @acctech.us.
